There they stood, the two of them. Waiting. Waiting for their niece. For someone to answer Karl's call to Telus about roaming charges. For someone to take this heavy "Bailey Skaret" sign off their hands for a while.

Of course, planes trains and automobiles are notorious for being late, and this was no exception. Well, maybe they should just leave and meet her somewhere else? No, there she is! Walking with all her luggage out the gate! Whew, thought we missed her! Well thank goodness, let's get the weekend rolling!
The Dallas Aquarium. I give you exhibit A: Uncle Karl, "afraid". Observe him in his natural habitat of land. Karl is a member of the Skaret family. Karl is from a tiny city in North America called Camrose and likes to use tiny sticks covered in colors to make even bigger colors on big canvases as a way to protect himself from the bitter Canadian cold. Karl drinks tim hortons coffee sometimes, and it has been observed that Karl is a carnivore, but don't worry he doesn't hurt anybody. Also, notice the Saw Shark.
Where's Susan though? Oh, she's talking to somebody.

And what would a trip to Dallas be without a visit to the Dallas Museum of Art? And oh, art galore there was. A stop at the cafeteria was very nice, where we chatted about all things Camrosian over some soup and coffee. Don't step too close to the paintings, otherwise that guy will come over here and speak to us for the third time. Too late, Susan's already talking to him.

And don't forget, Susan's "magic" focus camera. Simply extraordinary.

But what shall we do as a night activity? How about a burger down the street, some wine, and then some jazz at The Balcony? Boy, these musicians are so talented. Wish I could play the double bass like that, or even the piano.

My, these drinks are good too! Wait, where did Susan go? Oh, she's talking to somebody.

A wonderfully long goodbye breakfast in the hotel next morning, post beautiful jazz performance. And, with that, of course all good things must come to an end. But not without some gifts from the family, thank you all! Ben especially, I've been using your beer glass lots! (All things not beer because it isn't allowed)
So long, and until New York!
And thank you, Karl and Susan for coming!
