Athena And Greek Salad

The Acropolis.

And behold, the Parthenon. This isn't the best photo, only because I was trying to cut out the terrorists. Well, technically they are tourists, but they were terrorizing my photos. And you can still see the tops of their ungrateful bunny-eared heads. Why do I even try.

I noticed that these Greeks really like this one God, Athena. She was the inspiration behind the Parthenon, as well as the name of the city of Athens. Athena. Goddess of wisdom, courage, law and mathematics. Goddess of olive oil.

Aside from visiting the Acropolis, I would very much suggest going to the Acropolis Museum. You'll get to meet this guy:

You also get a really good overview of everything to do with Greek culture. Well, I was mostly paying attention to all the naked statues, but I know there were a lot of explanations of things along the way.

Another cool thing to do, check out the view from Mount Lycabettus. It's a good afternoon climb, 300 meters above sea level. Apparently Athena also had something to do with this mountain. She is said to have dropped it accidentally on her way out.

And so it was. February came. Now let's see what March brings.
