And so it was. The Canadians were at it again. The sun was shining, the weather crisp, and the metropolis of Dallas, awaiting.
After the most perfect entrance, with a bow on her head, a sash across her chest, she arrived at the airport. The angel, Missy Tollefson. We checked into the hotel and first on the list was to eat. It was literally the best burger, wine, and chat that I have had in a good while. How amazingly perfect was this! Afterwards it was time for some wonderful live music at the local pub, Sherlock's, and also meeting some new friends. What a joy.

The next day brought naught but adventure after adventure. First on the list was the Dallas Arboretum. With 12 gazebos symbolizing the 12 days of Christmas, the arboretum is a beautiful 66 acres of Botanical Gardens overlooking white rock lake. Flowers, waterfalls, fountains, trees, statues, it was the perfect start to the perfect day.

An absolute must on anyone's list is the Sixth Floor Museum at the Dealey Plaza. This museuem looks at the life, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. Although it was sold out, we still managed to get a ticket because of Missy's good looks.

After some gorgeous pictures of the lights and the trees as shown,

it was then time for a trip to the Trammel and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art, a museum dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. Uncle Karl, this one's for you.

And of course we couldn't go without seeing the view of the city! A good meal including another burger with mac and cheese on the side, and then up the Reunion Tower, a 360 degree view of the whole city!

Then it was time for more live music at the freeman, a couple pints, and some more new friends. A perfect end to the perfect visit.

Last of all, a visit just isn't a visit without a little chaos. I just have to add the touch of this photo, which pretty much embodies our state of mind throughout: extreme-happy-disorientatation.

Merry Christmas! Thank you so much Family! Miss you!!
