We decided to leave Bolivia, it seemed there were other adventures awaiting us from afar. Afar being, Brazil. I would like to introduce you to Florianopolis. It is not a person, nor a carnival although everyday seems to be just like one. This island has the nickname 'Island Of Magic,' located in south eastern Brazil hanging off the mainland. Quite the number of Brazilians take their vacation here I've noticed. The island is 35 miles long, every 3 miles being your specific type of beach, 42 beaches in total. And there we were, the three of us. Matt, his friend Cameron and myself. The days lazily slipping through your fingers like the smooth Fruit-Caipirinha you drank too much of the night before. Breathe in the air so rich, so hot and humid and jump refreshingly into the pool with your swarm of new brazilian friends. You swear that if this were to be the day you die, your last wish would be dedicated to nothing but deciding on which beach you would see your last breath escape your happy little corpse. Caipirinhas are a signature drink of Brazil. To describe it would be possibly to say: the fruit of your choice, mixed with either pure joy or sugar-cane rum, however they go quite easily hand in hand, along with one or two other wonderful things. Like a lime, or maybe a pink umbrella jutting out the top. Don't forget to attend the pool party. You will be very disappointed if you don't, believe me. You will find an abundance of seafood, surf, and Brazilians among many other things here at Florianopolis. But there can also be bad things, like, well.... um. I can't think of anything. Oh wait. The ocean is a bit too salty. And well, of course we have just gotten here, so there might be a few activities in which we must investigate. Miss Floripa
